By simply adjusting the knob, you have control over a longer or shorter pre-infusion and can modify the extraction parameters of your shot. It's a simple change, but the effect can be profound.

In combination with the engineered thermosyphon system in the E61 group, the Pro 500 PID with Flow Control lends a level of temperature stability previously unheard of in a heat exchanger espresso machine. When set to a temperature of 256° Fahrenheit, pressure stabilizes for near indefinite steaming while eliminating the necessity of a cooling flush under most circumstances.

With the 2022 update of the Pro 500 with Flow Control, Profitec has moved the PID temperature display to make it easier to view. Before, the display was hidden behind the drip tray, but now it’s on the face of the machine.
