Rocket Espresso has updated their iconic Giotto heat exchanger espresso machine with a custom actively heated E61 group. Rechristened as the Giotto FAST, this machine is ready to brew and steam in as little as 15 minutes. Those familiar with the geometry of the Giotto will find much to love from the clean lines and tasteful black accents introduced with this new generation.

Features and Benefits

The Giotto FAST R brews and steams with an insulated 1.8L heat exchanger copper boiler with PID regulation. Simultaneous brewing and steaming are possible on the Giotto with an adjustable temperature range of 244 - 253° F. The steam and hot water valves are velvety smooth and the overall steaming performance on the machine is quite impressive thanks to the copper boiler. Brewing makes use of a near silent rotary pump which also enables the machine to be connected directly to a home water supply for unlimited water.

When brewing, the discreet PID display doubles as a shot timer and also allows you to program several additional settings including boiler temperature, toggling eco mode on or off, switching between Celsius and Fahrenheit and selecting between reservoir or water line operation. Menu navigation is controlled via a hidden button panel tucked behind the drip tray in keeping with Rocket's preference for clutter free machine design.

Internally the Giotto FAST R's components are attached to a one-piece steel frame and are laid out for easy access for maintenance. Opening the machine is as simple as loosening several screws and bolts to release the panels, allowing you to get at internal components without complete disassembly. Included with the Giotto FAST R are a pair of commercial style Rocket portafilters and an improved 58mm flat base tamper with an ergonomic handle curve for comfortable tamping.
